This is who I am. I eat (first photo), I have a beautiful wife (second photo), and I used to play in a band (third photo). Not necessarily in that order.
Most of my working life has been in education: Maths and Science classroom teacher; Secondary learning centre teacher/principal; IT teacher in a private business college; Homeschool support teacher; Distance Education Science/Maths teacher; Face-to-face and online Maths tutor. I also wrote a public speaking course, co-wrote an ICDL course, and wrote a short course on grammar and literacy skills.
I have always had a passion for writing fiction and non-fiction. I completed a number of novels and children’s stories, though only one is published and available through Amazon. My non-fiction work on Personal Development is my latest work, also available through Amazon. I continue to write blogs connected with personal development.
I am a husband to one, father of four, and grandfather of nine.
This website is a record of some of my stuff. If anyone else obtains any joy from any of it, then, to paraphrase Lena Lamont, “it ain’t been in vain for nothing.”

I have always believed that a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy is essential for unlocking limitless potential. While these fundamentals were once a cornerstone of the education system, I’ve observed that today’s approach often leaves significant gaps.
We chose to homeschool our own children from birth to adulthood. Today, all four are thriving, contributing to society through full-time employment or entrepreneurial ventures, and building their own families.
Throughout my career, I’ve explored various fields, including nursing, retail, and customer service, before qualifying as a Primary Teacher later in life. My greatest passion lies in helping others, particularly through one-on-one support.
I find immense joy in assisting parents as they take an active role in their children’s education and in tutoring students individually. Witnessing a child’s progress and those transformative “light bulb” moments is truly rewarding.
